Tressie (Lowry) Gibbs

Mrs. Tressie Lowry Gibbs, 69, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, June 29, 2019.

Tressie was born in Maxton, NC on February 17, 1950. She was an educator for the NC Public School system for over 20 years before retirement. She also served as the Assistant Pastor at Selah Prayer Circle Ministry in Fayetteville. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Blarrie Gibbs; childred, Richard Keerbs, William Keerbs (Donna), and Love Gibbs (Kirk Sr.); 6 grandchildren, Angel, William, Kirk Jr., Chloe, Zoey and Brandon; 3 great grandchildren, Carter, Nolan and Paisley-Mae 6 sisters; Gay Lowry Mansell, Diana Cameron (Eddie), Darlene Santiago (Ray), Laura Sellers, Tessie Page (Tim) and Kay Janowiak (Craig) an uncle; Willie Lowry and her special life-long friend, Barbara Ashley. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Mae Lowry, step-father, Alfred Wright Sr., 3 brothers, Alfred Wright Jr. Ricky Wright and Donald Ray Locklear.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2019 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Rivers of Living Water, 1764 Bingham Dr. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
