Sun Nam Cyr

Mrs. Sun Nam Cyr, 65, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Sun was born in Korea on March 3, 1953 to the late Yong Un Kim and Chae Im Yi.  She was a small business owner and homemaker.  She was a member of the Fayetteville Korean Baptist Church where she was actively involved with the Women's Group.  Sun was an amazing cook who welcomed friends and family into her kitchen to share home cooked meals made with love.  She enjoyed gardening and generously shared the bounty of her garden with the community.  She delighted in her daily walks with her husband and puppy Mimi and adored her grand-dogs, Chloe and Max.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Paul Cyr of the home; 2 daughters, Michele Kim Cyr of Charlotte, NC and Katheryn Sue Cyr of Baltimore, MD; and a sister, Sun Cha Kim of Korea.

Visitation will take place at LaFayette Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2018.  

Funeral Services will be officiated by Pastor Stanley Hyon at 6:00 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Fayetteville Korean Baptist Church, 6873 Cliffdale Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28314.

Her final resting place will be located near her eldest daughter's home at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr.  Matthews, NC 28104.  Interment will occur there at 2:30 PM Thursday, September 27, 2018.
