David Paul Koston Jr.

David Paul Koston, Jr., 49, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 in Augusta, GA.

David was born in Germany on April 15, 1969 to the late David P. Koston Sr. and Leslie Wharrey Koston. His family moved to Fayetteville in 1971 and David attended school in Cumberland County until graduating in 1985. He had a great personality and he put a smile on everyone’s face.  He joined the US Army in 2001 serving his county with all his heart. He was in the US Army for 4 years and remained in the US Army reserves until his death. He worked as a Peblo Officer for the Department of Defense and if you ever needed something you knew that you could rely on David, no matter what it was. If you just needed to talk or go for a ride he was there. Has was a kind hearted person, a husband, father, uncle and son and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Tammie Koston of Beaver Falls, PA; his children Noah David, Alyssa, and Alea , all of Beaver Falls, PA; a sister Christine Lang of Butler, PA; his brother Michael Koston of Olga FL; nephews, Paul and Thomas Lang, both of Butler, PA and his great nephews, niece, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd. Ft. Bragg, NC 28310 with Rev. Bill Cavalier officiating.
