Chong Sun Green

Chong Sun Green, 81, of Fayetteville, Passed away at her home on April 16, 2018.

She was Born on April 15,1937 in Sacheon, South Korea. She met and fell in love with her husband Leon while he was stationed in Korea. In 1976 they moved together to the US and settled down in Fayetteville after his retirement from the Army.

She worked for many years as a seamstress in sewing shops around Fayetteville and for a time at her own store before her retirement.

Chong or Grandma as she like to be called enjoyed going to church every Sunday and working in her yard and garden. Grandma was someone who loved to give to others no matter if she had known you for years or had only just met. She will be remembered and truly missed by all who knew her.

She is predeceased by her husband Leon Green.

She is survived by her daughter Miok Gonzales, Grandson Simon Gonzales and his wife Lela Gonzales.

Visitation will be 5:30 PM -7:30 PM Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Lafayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral services will begin at 7:30 PM at the funeral home following the visitation with Pastor Jong-Su Hong officiating.

Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 27, 2018 in the Main Post Cemetery, Fort Bragg, NC.
