CW4 Lee James Williamson, 44, passed away Friday June 21, 2013 in Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

CW4 Williamson was born April 25, 1969 in Browning Montana to Parker H. Williamson and the late Audra M. Bird Williamson. He graduated from High School and joined the United States Army in 1987 and was a member of the Blackfeet nation. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Wright. CW4 Williamson was highly respected in the community and in the military community. He was always willing to help others and very unselfish. He was a wonderful husband and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

His Military awards and commendations include Legion of Merit Posthumous, Bronze Service Medal (3), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Joint Service Commendations Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (5), Joint Meritorious Unit Award (3), Army Good Conduct Medal (8), National Defense Service Medal (2), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, NCO Development Ribbon (2),Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4), NATO Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Emirate of Kuwait), Knowlton Award Posthumous.

CW4 Williamson is survived by his wife, Sherry L. Williamson of Raeford; father, Parker H. Williamson of Cut Bank, MT; brothers, Neil Williamson and Glen Linder of Corpus Christy, TX; sisters, Mary Brown of DeBary, FL, Suzi Williamson of Cut Bank, MT and Lacy Ell of Browning, MT.

Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Lafayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Service will be 12:30 PM Friday, June 28, 2013 at the All American Chapel, Ardennes Street Ft Bragg, NC with Chaplain (MAJ) David Curlin Officiating.

Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
