Mrs. Brenda M. DeVita, 45, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Sevierville, TN.

Brenda was born in Cumberland County on April 7, 1971 to George David Hyde and Brenda Ray Hancock Garofone. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lucille Cantania and Willis Hancock, Robert Perry Hyde and Margery Evelyn Hyde and an uncle, Frank Hancock.

She is survived by her husband, Michael DeVita of Hope Mills; her father, David Hyde and wife Diane of Fayetteville, her mother, Brenda Garofone and husband John of Fayetteville; son, Brandon Matthew Hairr and wife Micaela of Spring Lake; a grandchild, Aria Grace Hairr of Spring Lake; daughter, Brianna Autumn Hawkes of Hope Mills; step-son, Michael E. DeVita of Fayetteville and step-daughter, Carole J. DeVita of Fayetteville; a step-brother, Ron Christopher Otstott of Sanford and many extended family members.

Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 PM Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Galatia Presbyterian Church 8800 Galatia Church Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM at Galatia with Pastor Ed Wilson and Pastor Brett Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
