April Dru Britton, 37, of Rockingham passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keltys Jimmerson, Jr. and son Austin.

April was always the light in the room. With her bubbly charm and outgoing personality, she never met a stranger. She was always friendly and loving to anyone she met. Her children were her heart and she was so very proud of them. April always had such a special relationship with her mom. They were so close and were like best friends. April was a warrior who fought through anything put in front of her. A bright soul who was only made of love and care. She will always be remembered as someone who did anything she could to see a smile on a sad face.

April is survived by her children; Joseph Britton, Emma Jimmerson, Nicholas Jimmerson and Chloe Jimmerson, parents; Steve Hatley and Johna Dru Clark, sisters; Kimberly Pennington and Beth Downer, niece; Alissa Pennington, and nephew; Tucker Pennington.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 P.M. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Philippi Presbyterian Church with Rev. Chip Grammer officiating.
