Wilfredo David Acevedo Sr.

Mr. Wilfredo D. Acevedo Sr, 50, passed away Monday, April 25 2016 at his home. 

Wilfredo was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 11, 1965 to Osvaldo Acevedo and Carmen Calderon. He enlisted in the US Army serving for over 20 years. During his years of service he served many tours of duty and was honorably discharged in 2006 as a CBRN SSG. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.        

He is survived by his mother, Carmen Calderon Galendez; his wife, Melissa Acevedo; children, Leah Renee Acevedo, William David Acevedo, Rebecca Yolmarie Acevedo, Wilfredo David Acevedo Jr., Emmanuel Wilfredo Acevedo and Mia Marie Acevedo; grandchildren, Nichole Amilia, Anaiah Haddassah Marie; sisters, Gilda, Migdalia, Rosie, Elizabeth, Eulalia and Dayona; brothers, Rafael and Fernado; former wives, Omayra, Katina and Stephanie; nephews, Anthony Michael, Eduardo, Robert, Fairley, Jose and Jason; nieces, Sharick, Jelissa, Sheila, Dayoelis, Brendali, Elimar, Zhaira, Sharon, Aimee and Yelitza; a great nephew, Jasean and great nieces, Cataleya and Jaryam.

A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
