Randy Lee Summers

Chief Petty Officer, Randy Lee Summers (Retired), 63 of Stedman passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Randy was born in Bloomington, Indiana on October 17, 1953 to John and Wanda Dayhuff Summers.  Chief Petty Officer Summers served in the United States Navy for over 23 years before retiring. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by them and all who knew him. His Father, John Leslie Summers preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, John Summers and his wife Kammy of Virginia Beach, VA, Brian Summers of Chesapeake, VA, Kim Cannizzaro and her husband Eric of Stedman, NC and Janeen DeGrave and her husband Matthew of Newport News, VA; his mother, Wanda R. Summers of Bloomington, In; 2 sisters, Marsha Lettelleir of Bloomington, IN and Brenda Summers of Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Kayla Summers, Ryan Summers, Charlotte Murden-Summers, Robert DeGrave, Patrick DeGrave and a host of extended family members.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, September 23, 2017 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM following the visitation with Chaplain Aaron Tyner officiating.

Burial will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
