Mrs Patricia Diane Ellington, 49, of Smithfield passed away the morning of November 26, 2015 in her home.

Patricia was born in Cumberland County on December 15, 1965 to Lacy Oliphant and Linda Evans Oliphant. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her nephew, Christopher Tant. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother and will be greatly loved and missed.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Joseph Burns Ellington; her mother, Linda Oliphant; 6 children, Tommy Martz (Elyessa), Diana Moore (Dottie),Crystal Jordan, Brittany Wilkinson (Chad), Billy Seymour and Joseph Ellington; 4 siblings, Loretta Lowery (Jerry), James Oliphant, Willie Oliphant and Ginger Oliphant; many grandchildren whom she truly adored, 14 in all, Hannah, Bella, Laci, Serenity, Cheyenne, Kaylee Jo, Miley, Hailey, Bentley, Peyton, Wyatt, Ethan, Hayden and Hadgen; and the family dog, whom she considered her son, Trip Ellington.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Culbreth Cemetery in Rockfish with Pastor Dave Stout officiating.
