Laurence William Peterman

Retired MSG Laurence William Peterman, 66, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Laurence was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 27, 1949, son to the late Laurence J. Peterman and Dorothy A. Dropps Peterman. He served in the US Army and retired in 1993. He would take his family to Lakes and Rivers where they would go boating and skiing, but his real passion was fishing. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marianne Peterman of the home; a son, Laurence Hans Peterman and wife Carole of Mobile, AL; a daughter, Michelle Lynn Galvez and husband Josue of Hope Mills; nine grandchildren, Joshua T. Peterman, Briana F. Peterman, Ty D. Peterman, Claudio R. Pena III, Sasha I Pena, Gianna F. Galvez, Giordano S. Galvez, Morgan A. Bosarge and Taylor M. Salinas; 1 great grandchild, Kayler B. Bosarge.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
