I was in the 82d Airborne with Dave Keller and worked with him on Shift 1A; he was the same every day; He always spoke of his Children and was a dedicated and professional. Inmates respected him. I was honored to meet his Family Wednesday night.

David "recruited" me to "replace" him in the 82nd Airborne Division G7. His professionalism enabled a smooth transition and made life easier for me in the years to come. His no nonsense, but people-person, approach was also part of his legacy. He touched my life and that of others in a very positive way; All The Way! May God keep him close to His heart.

I want to express my condolences to the Keller family and friends. As a former paratrooper and fellow biker I was saddened by the news. Old troopers never die we just slip away. RIP Brother!!!

I knew Sgt. Keller mostly from greeting him at the front gate at HCI. He was very dedicated, and was always among the first to show up for duty each day. He was always cheerful and soft spoken. I could not remember if he ever said anything to me of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ, but I sensed that he was a child of God, just in the ways that he spoke and carried himself. After reading brother Willie Beasley's condolence message, I am truly happy to know that he was bought by the blood of Christ !!! It is hard to understand why he has left us so early, but I know that God has a wonderful man with him now. I will pray for David's family, friends, and co-workers. May God bless and be with you all.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Sgt David Keller. Sgt Keller and I were fellow PERT members and I was blessed to have been able to spend a lot of riding time and work time traveling to PERT activations with SGT Keller and PIEDMONT REGION PERT. During these times I became to know Sgt Keller as a man who loved his family dearly. He was dependable and reliable as a co-worker and was always available whenever I called for any PERT duties, no matter the time of day. He was loyal, dedicated, trustworthy and a good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. God bless.

I pray for wellsprings of solace to manifest in unexpected ways for all of you.  As you move though this profound loss, know that each tear is an act of love and the true beginnings of healing.  I pray that you cling to each other and ask for support when you need it.  I thank a man whom I never met for being such a loving part of my friend Cindy's life.  In love, Loni Kate

My deepest sympathy is being sent to the Keller family. I did not get the privilege of meeting Cindy's dad but I know just from hearing the way she has talked about him over the years that he was a wonderful man, much like my own father. Cindy, I understand the devastation you are feeling right now and wish I could take it from you but know how lucky you are to have had a man like him to call Daddy. Sending my love and prayers to you and your family.

God bless you

I did not know Seargent Keller personally. My husband worked with him at HCI and always talk about how much he loved him and enjoyed working with him. Also how all the officers were not only co-workers but family. No one is ever expecting to get the tragic news they got on Saturday morning April 6,2013. When you loss one of your co-workers and a dear friend it is like losing a family member. I know he is truly going to missed at work but I know that God will see them thru this trying time. I want the family to know that they will truly be in my heart, thoughts, and most of all my PRAYERS.

Uncle David...I am sure going to miss you always answering the phone whenever I called up there from Florida. You were such a sweet kind hearted Uncle, Husband, Father, Son, Grandpa and friend to everyone. This is still such a shock to me, I cant get over that you are gone. I know you are up in heaven with my Papa and Nana looking down on us waiting till we meet again. Please watch over my Aunt Lu, you did soo much for her, you were the best husband ever, please keep her strong. Its killing me that I cant be there for her. I wish I understood why you had to be taken this way and hy so early. Questions Ill never know and understand. Till we meet again..I will always remember and love you

My thoughts and prayer to all Davids family.  I will personally miss him.  We sat side by side at line up for almost 10 years, as officers and sergeants.  He was a friend as well as a coworker.  He always had a positive outlook. Now he will be looking down towards us.

Sgt. Keller was a good man with a good heart and a good soul.Even in an environment where it is easy to become cynical and cold hearted, he was always there to give a warm smile or a kind word. No matter how busy he was, he always made time to help in any way he could. Sgt. Keller will be missed.

My thoughts and prayer are with his family and friends.

Our sympathies and prayers are with your family at this time.  Our contacts were brief in the adoption of David's nephew, but strongly remembered for the integrity and role model that he showed in a truly difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with this family during a very hard time. My heart is very heavy and Sgt. Keller will be missed very much. He was an inspirational man to me; someone who I looked to for genuine leadership. He was a man who could find the simplest ways to be serious yet completely sarcastic at the same time and it was my favorite thing about being around him. If there was any way he could help someone out he expressed it and I have very fond memories of him offering me tea and cream for the days when I was very tired in the dorm and did not have coffee. I'm saddened to have to say goodbye to a sincerely great man.

Sgt. Keller will be missed, I have only served with him a short while on the Prison Emergency Response Team (PERT), but I got along with him right away. He is one of the most easy going people that I have met in a long time, and works tirelessly on PERT. I will miss him! and I wish to express my deepest condolences to his family, I know he will be missed!

My deepest sympathy goes out to you Lu, Cindy, Kristie, Tammy, David and all the Grandkids too.  I am still in shock but the thing I do know is David was a wonderful, kind, loving man just to name a few as well as a devoted family man.  All men today should follow his examples in life and this world would be a much better place.  I love you all and will truly miss seeing his smiling face and hearing the bike crank up in the mornings to go to work and I could go back to sleep knowing everything outside was OK.  Such a tragedy but know I am here to help anyway that I can.  I am praying for comfort and healing for all of you!
