Lee my brother,  I just found out about this....I just came back to the U.S. after being away for 7 years.  Last we spoke I was trying to get you and Sherry to Europe to enjoy some down time.  I am devastated beyond belief my brother.  Our time in Korea will always be my best.  You were a great role model, friend and big brother.  I learned so much from you.  Lee was the epitome of a warrior and the epitome of a brother. Sherry I know u were the last thing on his mind when he went onto his next journey. He talked about you non stop.  when ever he needed to relax I would just start talking about you...worked every time...You were his medicine.   Travel in Peace my warrior brother.

Sherry, please accept my deep and sincere condolences in the passing of Lee.  I just learned of the news today through the warrant officer network.  Lee was my friend, a kind and decent person of integrity.  I wish there was something that I could say to ease your pain; but I know that Lee would want everyone to drive on.   God bless you and your family through these difficult times.  Sincerely and Respectfully, Ed Andrews.  520-538-6786.

To my comrade in arms, may you rest in peace brother. We served together on several deployments in Iraq and I will never forget Lee's friendship, profesionalism, and leadership to his troops. You will be greatly missed my brother, and I look forward to seeing you again on that great DZ in Heaven! Until then mi amigo, De Opresso Liber!

To the Williamson Family,
We are saddened to hear of Lee's passing. I had the honor and privilege to serve with him at 10th SFG(A). He was always willing to share a story and a smile, and always made time to pass on his experience to those around him.

You are in our thoughts and prayers,
Doc and Katie Dougherty

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to CWO4 Lee James Williamson our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Lee.   And to Lee it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and many other deployments while serving over 20 years in the U.S. Army.  Lee, you served with honor and distinction; we bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  Be at Ease.  Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion and the 233 veterans of VFW Post 2238 in Shreveport, Louisiana, we extend our sympathies and our condolences to Lees’s family and loved ones.
