Andrew has always been a loving, caring, independent kid. As a baby he was always trying to walk and skip the crawling, and would even practice falling down due to him trying to grow up too fast trying to keep up with his older siblings. He loved debating his way out of situations from being grounded or getting past school work by finding loopholes through what was said to him in order to gain the upper hand to control the situation to make his own decisions. Despite his debating skills, he truly believed in hard work to get the things he wanted out of life. Even at such a young age he always wanted to take care of himself and pay his own way instead of someone else doing it. He was working hard to graduate a year early, with only 5 classes left to reach his goal. He wanted to pay his own way through his flight lessons to get his pilot license and had been working a full time job just to save the money in order to accomplish this on his own.

Although Andrew was working to prove and gain his independence he was always the one you could turn to and count on if you needed anything. Andrew may have only been 16, but he was always the first one to give up what he had to help his family and friends whether it be for money, a ride, a sitter, or just needing him to be there. Andrew enjoyed many outdoor activities from hiking and enjoying the scenery to fishing, camping, and boating. He was so good at so many varied activities. He had dabbled into so many things it’s hard to list them all, but some of them were spray paint art, skinning and preserving racoon fur, playing his guitar, building and shooting off rockets, gardening, and working on his car. He took such pride in being able to teach his nieces and nephews how to do his newfound talents. Andrew may have been taken from us too soon and had his future stolen from him, but he will always live on through our memories and our lives.

Andrew is survived by his mother; Dawn Whitten, Sister & Brother-In-Law (Guardians); Amanda & Nate Daniel, Sisters; Aimee Smith, Jennifer Baty, Brother; Bruce Castleberry, Aunt; Patricia Tittle, Grandmother; Florence Arnold, Grandfather; Ray Besancenez, Nephews; Brandon, James, and Owen Daniel, and Blazer and Tyler Castleberry, Nieces; Jaimee Castleberry, Lexi, and Elli Smith.
